Cribbit collects nothing.
That is the entire policy, but here is what it means in detail, because a baby monitor is exactly the kind of app where you deserve specifics rather than reassurance.
Audio and video travel from the device in your child's room to the device you are holding, directly, across your own Wi-Fi network — or straight between the two devices when there is no network. They do not pass through any server, because Cribbit does not have one.
Nothing is recorded. There is no footage, no audio file, no history. Sound is analysed as it arrives and then it is gone.
Your settings — alert sensitivity, the alert delay, whether sounds and haptics are on — are stored on your own device and nowhere else.
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no email address, no identifier and no analytics. We have no way of knowing that you use Cribbit, when, or for how long.
Cribbit can tell a crying baby apart from a door, a dog or a siren. This runs entirely on the device, using a classifier that ships with iOS. No audio is uploaded, and none is retained.

The optional one-time purchase is handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction.
Cribbit is a tool for parents. It is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date. Given that the policy is "nothing is collected", any change would be significant, and would be announced in the app's release notes.
